Lemond and Stallings to Open Enjolé Interiors on Walkway

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Local residents Sharon Lemond and Tammy Stallings today announced plans for opening a full service interior design business at 313 Main Street in the former Berger & Berger Law building.

The design and retail firm will offer furniture, rugs, lighting, art, accessories, bedding, window treatments, one-of-a-kind artisan pieces and an array of gift items.

In addition, Enjole´ Interiors will become home to three area designers who will work directly with clients.

“We feel that graciousness and hospitality have almost disappeared from the retail experience,” says Tammy Stallings, Director of Design and Retail for Enjole´ Interiors. “At Enjole´ we’re going to put a very special touch on the retail experience, whether customers are browsing for a gift item or coming to us for a complete home interior make-over.”

Sharon Lemond, Enjole´ Interiors President, says the business will take a fresh approach to design by meshing together contemporary and traditional furnishings and art to satisfy all kinds of tastes.

The business partners say their firm will offer affordable elegance at all price levels. “Our tagline is ‘Enchanting Environments,’ and that really describes the reason we’re here,” Lemond notes, adding ‘Enjole´’ is a French-Cajun word that means ‘enticing,’ or ‘enchanting.’

Renovating Historic Walkway Building

Before the business opens at 313 Main Street this fall, the historic, four-story building will be renovated by Evansville’s Landmark Design and Engineering, Inc. Lemond and Stallings say the historic building they have purchased very closely matches the vision they once had only in their imaginations.

Enjole´ Interior’s first floor will showcase furnishings, accessories, art and gifts. The second floor will house a design center and an art gallery where the partners plan to host trunk shows for a variety of artists such as jewelry designers and sculptors. The third and fourth floors, Lemond says, will be used for storing inventory and supplies.

“We’re very excited that Enjole´ will be one of the first new retail offerings to open on the Walkway in a long time, and we’re extremely excited to be on the ground floor of Downtown Evansville’s revitalization,” she says. “Our hope is to be of service to the many residents who will soon be making their homes in and around Downtown Evansville.”
